Peter Ippolito raised to 90,000 from the hijack and Sven Heinecker re-raised to 205,000 from the button. Ippolito then moved all in and Heinecker snap-called. The table let out an audible gasp when the hands were revealed.

Heinecker: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Ippolito: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Heinecker was the one at risk but looked poised to double up. The flop came {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} but then the dealer flipped over the turn card, the {k-Clubs}, and the table let out a collective groan. Heinecker would need an ace on the river to survive but the {2-Spades} came instead and he was the first player eliminated from the final table.
