Papola Doubles Up

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Jeffrey Papola was heads up against one other player on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. His opponent checked and Papola made it 275. His opponent reraised to 700 and Papola made the call.

The turn brought the {a-Diamonds} and Papola's opponent made it 1,250. Papola reraised all in for another 2,375. His opponent made the call.

Papola turned over {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and his opponent turned over {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. The {2-Clubs} hit on the river and Papola took down the pot.

Papola sits with around 10,000 in chips.

Timoshenko Extracts Some Value

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

On a flop reading {8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, the player in the small and Yevgeniy Timoshenko in the big checked to the player on the button, who bet 150. The small folded, but Timoshenko called.

Both players checked the {5-Spades} turn, however, it would be Timoshenko who led out for 250 on the {6-Clubs} river. His opponent called and Timoshenko revealed {Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a pair of queens. His opponent mucked and Timoshenko dragged the pot.

Timoshenko is up to 5,200.

Bellande's Time?

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We were watching one table but turned around for a second and noticed Jean-Robert Bellande in a hand at another table. With the board reading {7-}{5-}{7-}{Q-}{4-}, it was presumably checked to Bellande on the button who bet 475 on the river. It was only left up to his opponent in the big blind and he folded. Although Bellande took down the pot, he was still quite a bit below the starting stack with 2,700.

We spotted Matthew Jarvis against one other player with the board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Jarvis bet 1,000 on the river and his opponent made the call. Jarvis turned over {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} to take down the pot of about 4,000.

Jarvis won the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event last week for the bracelet and $808.538. We'll be keeping an eye on him to see if he can make another deep run.

Jaka (Nearly) Doubles

Level 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

On a flop reading {10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}, a player from the big and Faraz Jaka appeared to have gotten into a raising war, with Jaka being the last to go all-in for a little over 4,000. His opponent seemed reluctant, but eventually slid his remaining stack into the middle.

Jaka: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

Jaka's opponent would need a ten to survive, but the {8-Hearts} turn and {9-Diamonds} bricked, sending him to the rail and chipping Jaka up to 8,200.
