Smith Can't Catch a Wheel

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Action opened when the player in the cutoff raised and was called by Joe Hachem on the button and Gavin Smith from the big blind.

"Alllllright!" said Smith, tossing in chips for a raise. He then threw away four cards "I just want you all to know I'm drawing to a wheel here."

Both the player in the cutoff and Hachem took two. Both Gavin and the cutoff checked and Hachem bet out. Both players called and on the second draw Hachem and the cutoff took one while Smith took two. Everyone checked that street and the cutoff stood pat while Hachem drew one and Smith drew two.

The action checked around once again and Smith triumphantly tabled a {k-}{9-} low, but was behind the cutoff's {J-}{7} low. Hachem mucked and the player in the cutoff scooped the pot with a smile on his face from Smith's antics.
