Bach and Martin Trading Blows

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Play was very close to going to heads up on two recent occasions, but both times the short stack doubled up. Justin Bonomo, the big stack by far, sat on the sidelines while Leonard Martin and David Bach traded blows.

On the first one, Bach was drawing to a {6-}{5-}{4-}{3-} against Martin's made {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}. Bach pulled another {6-} to pair and that allowed Martin to double.

Following that hand, Bach drew to a {7-}{6-}{3-}{2-} and pulled a {5-} to beat Martin's queen. This allowed Bach to double up.
