Estes Takes Initiative

Gloutnez Genevine opened to 2,800 from the hi-jack position and found one caller in Rita Estes from the big blind.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and both players checked. When a {2-Diamonds} fell on the turn, both players again checked. However, when a {5-Diamonds} completed the board and Genevine checked a third time, Estes decided to bet 5,000. Genevine folded.

Estes is up to 35,000. Genevine has chipped up nicely since beginning the day, however, with this hand, has slid to 50,000.

Tomlinson Towering

Carol Tomlinson has now rocketed to the top of the counts after busting Xuan Liu.

Liu moved her last 28,000 in with {A-}{K-} before the flop, but was snapped off by Tomlinson who held {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. The board of {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} didn't change the outcome and Tomlinson is now up to more than 110,000 in chips.

Ruby Du Down A Few

Ruby Du came into today as the chip leader, but she has been stuck in reverse for most of the day. We missed the hands that knocked her down, but her table mate Karina Jett gave us the info. Du lost most of her chips to the player to her left, Karen Fisher. In the first hand, Du and Fisher got it all in with Du having Fisher covered easily.

Du: {a-}{k-}
Fisher: {8-}{8-}

The board ran out {7-}{4-}{3-}{q-}{j-}, and Fisher scored the double. A few hands later, the two were right back at it again. This time, they took a flop of {k-}{8-}{3-}, and again, they both got it all in. Du held {k-}{9-}, but Fisher held {k-}{j-}. Her hand held, and Du is now just around average, and Fisher, who started today with just 7,200, is now up to over 50,000.

Fisher's Rockets Send Her Stack Soaring

We missed the exact details but are being told Karen Fisher opened from late position and was three-bet by Sarah Herzali. Fisher responded by four-betting all in and Herzali made the call.

Herzali: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Fisher: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Fisher doubled to about 105,000. Herzali was knocked down to just 19,000.
