Back From Dinner

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

We're sure after the fireworks that ensued before the dinner break that the players appreciated a little time to recoup. Now that dinner has finished they are all back and cards are in the air. This tournament is scheduled to play through tomorrow, but we've heard conflicting stories as to whether play will cease for the day when we hit the final table or whether we'll be playing out the full ten levels today no matter what. Whenever we find out for sure we will let you know!

Zhang Doubles Through Bigelow

Ren Ho Zhang raised to 72,000 from middle position and Jason Bigelow, who was next to act, moved all in. Action folded back to Zhang who called putting his tournament life at risk.

Bigelow: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Spades}{k-Diamonds}and Zhang doubled to 980,000 while Bigelow was left with only 105,000.

A Lull in the Action

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Players aren't throwing their chips around as lightly as they did earlier in the day. As the final table approaches it seems they are being more cautious and less willing to take big risks. Most pots seem to be won by a simple raise or three-bet.

Deuce Bigelow

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jason Bigelow has doubled his microstack through Warren Wooldridge, Bigelow pushed UTG for 98,000 and Wooldridge reshoved in the small blind with {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Bigelow turned over {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and managed to spike on the {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{J-Clubs} board to survive and move back over 200,000.

Evans Moving On Up

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Joshua Evans raised to 52,000 from the button and was called by Harald Olsen from the big blind. The flop came {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Olsen check-called a bet of 79,000 from Evans. The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and Olsen again check-called a bet from Evans, this time for 148,000. When the {5-Spades} hit on the river, Evans got the remainder of his chips in the pot and showed the {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for nines full of eights while Olsen mucked his hand.

After the dust had settled, Evans stack rocketed up to 1,350,000 while Olsen was left with 400,000.
