Wade Gets Walloped

A player ended up all in for his last 18,400 preflop and was up against Tristan Wade.

Wade: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

It looked like curtains for the player holding nines after the flop came {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, but then the {9-Clubs} fell on the turn giving him a set and the lead. The {4-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing and the other player doubled up while Wade was left with 22,000.

Ramos Reeling

A player in early position opened for 600 and was called by Felipe Ramos from the cutoff. The player in the small blind went all in for his last 4,150 and the original raiser folded. Ramos called.

Ramos: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Opponent: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The {10-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs} kept Ramos in the lead, however, the {9-Spades} on the turn gave his opponent a straight. A meaningless {7-Diamonds} completed the board and Ramos' opponent doubled through him.

Ramos is down to 15,000.

Gates Dials AAA

Garry Gates opened to 525 from under the gun, Derek Bailey called in middle position, and Mac Sohrabi called out of the small blind. The flop fell {7-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, Sohrabi checked, Gates continued for 1,200, and Bailey called. Sohrabi mucked, and the turn was the {a-Spades}. Both players checked.

The river was the {5-Spades}, and Gates tossed out 2,000. Bailey quickly called.

Gates tabled two red aces for top set, Bailey mucked, and Gates dragged in another pot.

Bellande's Stack Growing

Jean-Robert Bellande made it 425 preflop from late position and was called by the button and the small blind. The flop fell {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and the small blind checked to Bellande who continued out for 1,000. Both players called the bet and all three saw the {8-Clubs} turn. Action checked all of the way around the table and fifth street came {2-Clubs}.

The small blind player checked once again and Bellande fired out 2,500. The button quickly folded and the small blind took some time but also eventually mucked his cards.

"Good lay down, boys", Bellande said as he scooped a pot that brought him to about 55,000.

Fitzgerald Fighting Hard

Alex Fitzgerald raised in middle position to 525, and got called by David Chiu in the small blind as well as the player in the big blind. The flop came down {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Both blinds checked, and Fitzgerald bet out 1,300. Chiu folded, but the big blind decided to raise it up to 3,500 total. Fitzgerald was not deterred, as he came back with a raise of his own, this one to 7,500. The big blind kicked in his cards, and Fitzgerald took down the pot to get back near his starting stack.

All in and Chop

We only found our way to the table with the entire {7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} board already spread out that made a straight and around 13,500 in the pot. Jason Lester who was in middle position plopped down a stack of what looked to be around 40,000 and the action was now on Nicholas Levi in the cutoff.

Levi tanked for quite some time but eventually called all in for his last 15,000 to put his tournament life at risk. Lester said, “Good call” and turned over {3-}{3-} for a flopped set that got counterfeited when the straight on board completed on the river. Levi revealed {Q-}{Q-} as the players chopped the pot.

Bonomo Gets Rivered

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

With the board reading {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} the player in the small blind checked and Justin Bonomo bet 2,500. The small blind took little time in calling and Bonomo flipped over his {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, but found he had been bested by the small blind's {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}.

Bonomo was left with 39,000 after the hand.

Devilfish Takes A Bite Out Of Moreno

When we came to the table, the board read {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Spades}, and Dave "The Devilfish" Ulliott, Andrew Moreno, and another player were involved in the hand. It was checked to Ulliott, who bet out 2,000. Moreno called, and the other player folded, leaving the two heads up to the river. That card was the {2-Diamonds}, and this time, Ulliott bet out 6,000. Moreno once again called, then mucked when Ulliott showed {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a flopped full house. Ulliott jumped up to 37,000, while Moreno has dipped below his starting stack.

Griffin Gets a Bad Beat

A player in middle position raised to 525, the hijack called, and Ashton Griffin who was on the button re-raised to 2,600. The player in the small blind called, the initial raiser folded, and the hijack called making it three-handed heading to the flop.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the small blind led out for 4,500. The middle position player folded and Griffin called. The turn was the {a-Clubs} and the small blind bet 7,500. Griffin then went all in for a total of 12,400 and the small blind tanked for a bit before tossing the extra 4,900 chips in to make the call.

Griffin: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Griffin found he was way ahead but then the dealer flipped over the river card, the {10-Clubs}, giving the other player Broadway and sending Griffin to the rail.

Brady Loses A Little

Matt Brady
Matt Brady

Action opened immediately when the player under the gun made it 600 to go. The player in the cutoff made the call, as did Matt Brady from the button. The flop came {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the player under the gun continued out for 1,000. Both the cutoff and Brady called.

The turn came {J-Diamonds} action checked around. The board paired when the {J-Hearts} rivered and the player under the gun bet 2,000. The cutoff put in a raise to 6,000 and both Brady and the player under the gun mucked their hands.
