Cliff Josephy has been clinging to a short stack, for the past few levels, but it seems his luck has finally run out. Josephy was eliminated after his failed to improve against the of McLean Karr. The good news for all you Josephy fans is that he plans on playing tomorrow's $1K No-Limit Hold'em event.
Chris Oliver raised to 11,500 from the cutoff only to have Takashi Ogura make it 47,000 to go from the button. Another raise saw Ogura all in and covered.

The pocket pairs have reigned supreme today in such situations, and it appeared that trend would continue when the flop came down . Ogura was in need of some help and received a little when the paired the board, which meant he could now catch a king or seven to counterfeit his opponent. Surprisingly, the spiked on the river and ruined our trend, much to the delight of Ogura who doubled on the hand.
On a flop of , Mike Matusow bet 16,500 and was called by Jonathan Jaffe, leading to the on the turn. Matusow wasted little time in moving all in for 65,500, which proved too much for Jaffe to call.
Just before the last break, Stephen Chidwick was all in for 187,000 holding against the of Noah Schwartz. The pot was worth around 380,000, and it went to Chidwick as the board ran out .
Steve O'Dwyer and Robert Mizrachi built a sizable pot to see the flop of . Mizrachi bet enough to put O'Dwyer all in and O'Dwyer went deep into the tank. A few minutes passed while O'Dwyer thought of his options. He reluctantly folded and was only left with 21,000. Mizrachi assured him he made a good lay down and he had pocket aces.
The next hand O'Dwyer threw it all in and found a call from McLean Karr.
Jennifer Tilly opened for 15,000 under the gun only to have Chris Bell reraise to 55,000 from the cutoff. Sam Stein called all in from the button while Tilly decided to get out of the way.

Bell had picked the wrong time to mix it up with ace-jack and needed to get lucky. The flop gave him a good sweat, but neither the turn nor the river pushed him to a win. He was left with just 16,000 after the hand and was eliminated a short time later.
