James Guinther just raised from the button to 600 and last year's runner-up in the $25,000 WSOP Heads Up Championship Yevgeniy Timoshenko decided to three-bet to 2,100. Guinther took his time before calmly sliding out a 4,600 chip four-bet. Timoshenko tanked for a bit before making the call.
On a board both players checked the hand down and Timoshenko announced he had a pair. Guinther mucked when he got shown and Timoshenko took down this pot. Both players have 20,000 chips in play and one lammer behind. Timoshenko is now up to 25,000 chips.
Dan Kelly has been the first player eliminated from Event 12: $10,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em. Ryan Leng was the one who got him and is the first player through to the second round.
After busting Kelly once, Leng then used one of his add-ons and had a decent lead in the match. Kelly reloaded for both of his, but was still down in chips. On the final hand, Kelly raised on the button to 600 and Leng reraised to 1,800. Kelly four-bet to 3,600 and Leng shoved. Kelly called with the and was ahead of Leng's .
Leng turned an ace to win the pot and eliminate Kelly from the event.
With a flop exposed in the middle of the felt, Jason Mercier check-raised Steven Silverman and made it 1,200. After a few moments Silverman completed the call, and both players were allowed to see a turn. After the fell on fourth street Mercier wasted no time checking and bet out 1,900, and again SIlverman took his time before making the call.
The on the river wasn't going to slow Mercier down, who opted to move all in. Silverman took a handful of seconds before announcing "call" and cards were tabled.

Both players held three of a kind queens, but neither competitor had a kicker high enough to claim the hand. The dealer then chopped the pot evenly and both players were dealt another hand
From the button, Antonio Esfandiari raised to 500. Vanessa Rousso reraised from the big blind to 1,500 and Esfandiari called. The dealer ran out the and Rousso bet 1,300. Esfandiari raised to 3,000 and Rousso put him all in. Esfandiari called and was all in for 5,500 total.
Esfandiari held the for second pair and Rousso the for bottom pair. The turn brought the and the river the . Esfandiari stayed in front and doubled to 14,000 in chips, leaving Rousso with 6,000. Both have two add-ons left.
David "Doc" Sands is one a handful of players not given a bye early on, and is facing off against his opponent, Jaspreet Panchhi. Sands who cashed in five events at last year's WSOP looks to make another good run at it here in 2012 with one cash already.
With around 500 already in the pot we saw Sands check-call a bet of 500 from Panchhi on a flop. After the landed on the turn Sands checked again and Panchhi followed suit. The river again brought two checks, and Sands confidentially flipped over for a turned two pair. Panchhi mucked and Sands scooped up a nice little pot.
Viktor "Isildur1" Blom is facing off against recent World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Andy Bloch. This is the match of first-timers as it's Blom's first WSOP and Bloch just won his first bracelet.
On this early hand in the match, Bloch raised to 400 on the button and Blom reraised to 1,200. Bloch called and the flop came down . Blom quickly bet 1,200 and Bloch made the call.
The landed on the turn and Blom fired 2,600. Bloch folded and Blom won the pot.
