Ivey Loses a Race

Level 14 : 200/400, 0 ante

The rail here in the Brasilia room is filled with fans and poker pros alike. One of the big attractions in the room though is Phil Ivey. We recently caught a hand where he pushed his opponent, Manuel Bevand all in. Bevand called and both players flipped their cards and were off to the races.

Ivey: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Bevand: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

A {7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop was spread and Bevand came out early with the lead. The {8-Spades} on the turn and the {k-Clubs} on the river changed nothing and Bevand received an early double up. Bevand who still hasn't used either of his add-ons has an advantage on Ivey who has used both his add-ons.
