Hello and good afternoon from the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino Amazon Room, where we are about to begin Day 2 of Event 16: $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Six-Handed!
After 11 hard-fought levels of play during Day 1, a mere 137 players of the original 1,604 entrants survived into today. Leading the pack into Day 2 is Nick Maimone, who bagged up an impressive 175,900. Right behind him is bracelet-holder Mark Radoja with 172,500. Radoja captured his first World Series of Poker Bracelet last year during Event #24: $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em Shootout and will be looking to add to his already impressive poker resume.
Other notables competing in today’s field include Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, Tony Dunst, Toddy Terry, Adam Junglen and WSOP Player-of-the-Year Frank Kasella, to name a few.
The plan today is to reach a final table of nine or play through ten levels – whichever comes first. Given that we lost most of our field on Day 1 as a result of the six-handed action, reaching a final table would not surprise us.

Table 427 is loaded with chips and has players that aren't afraid to them around. Erik Cajelas, Nick Maimone and Andy Seth are all at the table. In fact, as we were typing the post we saw Seth double up Robert Brown from the media perch.

"I'm Running Good for the First Time in Two Years"
We found Kathy Liebert getting paid off after she doubled up against Dustin Fox. Liebert held 
against Fox's 
. The board ran 
and Liebert's rivered straight prompted her to look at us and say, "I'm running good for the first time in two years."
The purple clad veteran has her second cash of this WSOP and is looking for her second bracelet.

"Get It In Bad and Suck Out"

Chino Rheem opened for 2,600 and Joseph Opie called from the small blind. The flop came 
, Opie checked, Rheem bet 4,000 and Opie check-raised to around 12,000. Rheem moved all in and earned a call.

giving Rheem a second pair and the river fell 
. From a nearby table Kathy Liebert commented, "Chino, we play the same. We get it in bad and suck out."
Terry Makes Lay Down of the Year?

We found this hand developing on the turn between Todd Terry and Thijmen Stocker. The board showed 
, Stocker bet 9,000 and Terry called. The river fell 
, Stocker checked and Terry bet 25,000. Stocker check-raised to 65,000 and Terry shook his in visible shock.
"I can't believe you'd be bad enough to do that with kings," Terry said after a few moments. Terry sank deep in to the tank and after a full two minutes he prodded, "Second nut no good here, huh?"
Stocker didn't reply and Terry continued to tank. He counted his stack, double checked his cards and sighed. Terry sat there a little while longer and then folded 
face up. That's right, he folded aces full of jacks face up, giving Stocker tons of credit.
Matusow Doubles
An unknown player opened on the button, Mike Matusow raised to 2,500 and the player shoved. Matusow called and tabled and his opponent held .
The board ran 
and Matusow hit the table in celebration.
