McEvoy Goes on a Bendor

Yarron Bendor, who final tabled Event 4: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low 8-or-Better, just eliminated 1983 WSOP Main Event Champion Tom McEvoy from the tournament.

Both players started with a deuce up, and McEvoy led out when he was dealt a four on fourth street. Bendor called with a seven, and the rest of the money went in on fifth, when McEvoy and Bendor caught a {10-} and a {9-} respectively.

McEvoy: {8-}{3-} / {2-}{4-}{10-}
Bendor: {8-}{4-} / {2-}{7-}{9-}

McEvoy's board ran out {3-}{8-}, giving him two pair - which obviously doesn't help in this game - and ten-high. Bendor's first five cards were enough to win the pot, and score the elimination.
