Ryan Schmidt Eliminated in 5th Place ($117,921)

Andrew Badecker started off the action with a raise to 85,000 from the cut-off and Ryan Schmidt made the call from the button. The flop came down {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Badecker put in a 90,000 chip continuation bet. Schmidt wasn't looking to play it passively and he raised to 195,000. Badecker made the call.

The turn was the {A-Clubs} and Badecker lead out for 240,000 into Schmidt who had shown agression on the flop. Schmidt didn't want to give up and made the call giving us a big pot heading to the river.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Badecker moved all-in. Schmidt wasn't buying it and he made the call. Badecker showed {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and that beat Schmidt's {K-}{Q-}. We are down to just four players now!

Selbst in Trouble

Vanessa Selbst just became our short stack. The action started with a raise from Jacob Bazeley who made it 95,000 to go from the small blind. Selbst made the call from the big blind.

The flop came down {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} and from our position in the room we spotted a 75,000 chip bet as this wasn't announced. Selbst made the call.

On the turn the {2-Spades} hit and Bazeley checked to Selbst who threw out a 260,000 chip bet. Bazeley called and lead out on the river which brought the {8-Hearts}. The bet was 400,000 and almost half Vanessa Selbst's stack. She opted to fold and is now the short stack with five players remaining.

A Four-Bet Jam

Andrew Badecker just raised to 85,000 from the cut-off and Ryan Schmidt, directly to his left, opted to three-bet to 205,000. The action got folded back to Badecker who moved all-in getting Schmidt to fold. The fight for second place behind Brent Hanks is a tough one while Ryan Schmidt tries to keep up with the rest, but so far he is the tournament short stack.
