Baldwin & Middleton Leave; Mortensen Takes a Pew

We reported earlier that Table 24 was a little bit meaty, well there has been a few developments since then. Firstly, Eric Baldwin eliminated Tom Middleton. The man known as Middy found himself short when he moved all-in from the blinds over a button raise from Baldwin. Middleton held {Q-} {J-} and Baldwin's {A-} {K-} held up.

Then Baldwin left the tournament at the hands of Kenny Hallaert. There was a limper in the pot before Baldwin made it 350 from the cutoff. Hallaert squeezed for 1,050 in the big blind and after the original limper folded Baldwin made it 1,950, leaving 6,500 behind. Hallaert decided to apply maximum pressure and moved all-in and Baldwin called.

Hallaert{A-} {10-}
Baldwin{K-} {K-}

So Hallaert was going to have to get lucky and lucky he got. An ace on the flop sending Baldwin out of the tournament and Hallaert up to 16,000. Baldwin and Middleton leave and the former WSOP Main Event and multiple bracelet winner Carlos Mortensen sits down.

No rest for the wicked!
