Hanks Crippled, Welch Back in the Hunt

Two experienced professionals just clashed in a big pot right after the money bubble. It was Brent Hanks, three time WSOP finalist, who raised the action to 2,400 and he got called by the player to his left. From the blinds Ryan Welch, 2010 WSOP bracelet winner, who opted to three-bet to 7,000.

Hanks didn't have folding on his mind and four-bet to 18,500. The caller in the middle folded his cards and Welch moved all-in. Hanks was far from happy but after giving it some thought he made the call for 37,800 total.

The board ran out {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs} giving Welch the win and Hanks was left behind with just 13,500 chips. The player that folded pre flop after having called Hanks's raise was overly excited and he claimed to have throw his ace-king suited into the muck.
