Vanessa Selbst just got moved to the direct left of Phil Hellmuth and we saw an interesting hand right off the bat. Hellmuth raised to 5,500 from the hi-jack and Selbst called from the cut-off. The flop came down and both players checked.
The turn was the and Hellmuth bet 13,000. Selbst decided to raise to 28,000 and Hellmuth called immediately. The river was the and Hellmuth checked. Selbst bet 24,500 and Hellmuth showed a little of that good old style we are used to seeing from the 11-time WSOP bracelet winner. After a while he calmed down and folded his cards giving Selbst the pot.
Alan Sass is also at this table and he is currently in second place with 362,400 chips.

With seven WSOP cashes to his name and $269,911 in live tournament earnings, Dylan Wilkerson has probably seen it all, but that has not stopped him leaving the tournament with steam pouring out of his ears.
Wilkerson raised to 6,000 in the hijack seat and when the action folded around to Candida Ross-Powers in the small blind she moved all-in for over 100,000. The stunned big blind folded and Wilkerson made the call.

So a huge mis-step by Ross-Powers, but as we all know only too well, the Poker Gods can still smite those down who have done nothing wrong.
Flop:
Ross-Powers nails a set on the flop and Wilkerson is fuming. The turn and river confirmed the win for Ross-Powers and Wilkerson was out. As Ross-Powers was rebuilding her stack we asked her quietly for her name.
"I am Candida Ross-Powers," she replied.
"She is Candy Flop-Powers," shouted one of her opponents.
"That lady said that you do not win tournaments by being a doormat," said the same opponent.
Well if you want to walk all over Ross-Powers you have to get through 280,000 worth of chips first.

We walked up to the table when a Russian player was all-in from the under the gun position for 9,000 chips and two other players were battling it out. Vanessa Selbst was in the big blind and had 18,000 out in front of her while Ryan Snickles had put in another raise to 38,500. It seemed like Snickles had opted to call the small all-in before Selbst threw out a raise from the big blind. He decided to play back at her, but she wasn't looking to give this one up. Selbst moved all-in for 128,500 and Snickles folded his cards.

The window card was the after which the and rolled off. "Those the worst two cards after such a window card", Selbst laughed because her opponent still had plenty of outs. The turn was the and the river the giving Selbst the win.

We picked up the action with two early limpers in the pot and the player on the button raising to 10,000 off a stack of 49,000. Both limpers made the call and we were three way to the flop.
Flop:
The action checked to the button who moved all-in for 39,000. The initial limper then called before Azim Popatia moved all-in for 86,000 more. This put the initial limper into the tank and after a while he eventually folded.
Popatia went crazy. He was clicking his fingers and celebrating as he turned over for middle set. The button turned over for two pair and despite several questions the initial limper refused to tell the table what he folded. The turn and river completed the action and Popatia had eliminated the player on the button and the inquest began.
"Man you played that so terribly…so bad…so bad," said one of Popatia's opponent's.
Then after a moment's pause the same player said, "nice hand." Popatia thanked him and then he finished by saying, "you could have played it better though."
Popatia didn't care, he had over 250,000 chips.
