Harman Doubles Up

When we arrived at Jennifer Harman's table there was a flop showing {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Harman was committing the last of her chips holding {10-Hearts}{9-Spades} against the {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} of Samuel Golbuff. A {10-Clubs} hit the turn and a {9-Clubs} fell on the river and it was a double-up for Harman

Kevin Not Singing

Kevin Song, Roman Draheim and Raymond Dehkharghani capped the betting preflop and we will you give you a sneak peek of what they held.

Song: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Dehkharghani: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Draheim: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

On the {3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop, Dehkharghani and Song checked, while Draheim fired out a bet. Dehkharghani then check-raised and Song called. Back on Draheim and he re-raised. Dehkharghani popped it again and Song again called. Back on Draheim and he capped the betting. Back on Dehkharghani and he committed the last of his chips. Song made the call, leaving himself with less than a big bet.

Turn: {8-Spades}

Song flicked in his last 3,100 and Draheim made the call and the three players turned their hands over. The {k-Hearts} then completed the board on the river and it was Dehkharghani's hand that would prevail, while Song was sent home and Draheim took a hit to his stack.

JC Tran, JC Gone

JC Tran opened the pot from late position holding {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Ben Yu made the call on the button holding {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. The blinds got out of the way and a {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop was dealt. Tran opted to check-call a bet on the flop and did the same when a {3-Spades} hit the turn. The {k-Hearts} on the river would see Tran commit his last remaining 4,300 and Yu would take down the pot. The river can be nasty sometimes.

Burford Busts

Nicholas Muraca has managed to bust Mark Burford. It was all-in preflop for Burford, who committed his last 3,500. Muraca then took to a {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop against Dan Shak as Burford waited and watched. Muraca and Shak both checked the flop and then Shak folded on teh {3-Clubs} turn as Muraca fired out a bet.

Muraca: {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Burford: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The {2-Clubs} river changed nothing, with the queen on the flop enough to send Muraca the pot and send Burford out of the tournament.

Tom Loses Some

Philip Tom, Jeff Shulman and the player in the big blind took to a {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop in a raised pot. Tom was in the small-blind position and led on the flop. The big blind called and Shulman raised it up. Both the remaining players called and a {8-Clubs} hit the turn. This time the play was checked to Shulman and he bet. Tom made the call, while the big blind got out of the way.

The {6-Clubs} was the last card to be dealt on the felt and it would see Tom check and Shulman fire out another bet. Tom called, turning over {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} as he did so, not strong enough for Shulman's {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.
