Welcome back to the final day of Event 21: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em, where seventeen players will play down to one ultimate winner.
Jamie Armstrong comes into the day with 1,434,000, and claims the chip lead going into the day. Yesterday saw Armstrong acquire and maintain chips throughout the entirety of day two. Behind Armstrong awaits Noah Vaillancourt with 1,212,000 who spent his day two playing a little unorthodox and reaping the benefits because of it.
Coming to the day in third is Eric Baldwin with 887,000, who just consistently played well yesterday. Baldwin is no stranger to deep runs in high stakes tournaments and looks to make a great run here on day two.
Seventeen players will be coming in today, and only one will be leaving with the first place crown. Action is set to take off at 1:00 PST, stay tuned to PokerNews for all the updates.
William Fichman started a recent hand out by opening for 50,000. Action folded around to Jonathan Poche who moved all in for around 400,000. The action then came around to the short stacked Randy Green on the button who called and was all in for 70,000. Finchman also made the call and was at risk.

After a flop was unleashed on the felt it was realized that no one was safe, and anyone could come away from this pot a winner. If Poche could hold he would deliver the double knock out, and we would be 15 handed. A on the river helped no one, but the on the river gave Green the straight and he was allowed to tripple up. Poche also managed to get a piece of the pot, and took the remainder of Fichman's stack as his pair of kings were still better than a pair of queens.
Fichman heads to the rail and is our 17th place finisher.
Dan Smith started the action by opened to 42,000 and Noah Vaillancourt raised to 93,000 from the cutoff. The blinds released and Smith re-raised to 177,000. Vaillancourt took some time to think and then called.
The flop came , Smith bet 146,000 and Vaillancourt called. But that took quite some time. The turn came which both players eventually checked. The river brought the , Smith checked and Vaillancourt bet 238,000 after an excruciatingly long tank. Smith folded rather quickly compared to the pace of the hand and Vaillancourt chipped up significantly.
All in all the hand took about ten minutes to play out.
Jamie Armstrong started this recent hand off by raising it up. Action folded over to Noah Vaillancourt in the small blind who three-bet to 175,000. Next it was to Eric Baldwin who moved all in for 710,000. Armstrong folded and Vaillancourt went deep into the tank. Vaillancourt clearly was not very confident in his hand and took his time determining if he even had a chance at winning. Eventually he did indeed complete the call and put Baldwin at risk.

An flop was exposed and Baldwin sky rocketed into the lead with a pair of aces. Baldwin though could still hit a spade to steal the advantage back. A on the turn and a on the river sealed the deal and Baldwin was sent packing.
Action folded around to Jamie Armstrong in the small blind who took a look at John Esposito's stack in the big blind and moved all in. After a minute of silence Esposito convinced himself he had the best of it and made the call.
Armstrong:
Esposito:
Unfortunately Esposito was wrong in his assessment and was all in and behind. A flop appeared Armstrong furthered his lead. A on the turn and a on the river sealed the deal and Esposito was sent packing.
Jamie Armstrong made it 200,000 from the button, and Noah Vaillancourt moved all in after Michael Gathy folded the small blind for about 800,000. Armstrong made the call and Vaillancourt was at risk.

An board ran out and Vaillancourt failed to improve and was subsequently eliminated in third.
