When we reached the table, Berry Johnston and Layne Flack were heads up after the first draw. Johnston led out from the small blind, Flack raised, from the big, and Johnston called. On the second draw, Johnston patted, and Flack discarded one. Johnston bet, and Flack called.
Johnston patted again, Flack drew one, and Johnston led out again. Flack called, and Johnston tabled

Johnston nearly doubled to 30,000, while Flack dropped to 32,000.

Jean-Robert Bellande's tournament has come to an end at the hands of Von Altizer, who is having a great day.
Bellande was down to just 2,000 chips when he raised all-in from under the gun. The action folded to Altizer in the big blind and she called.
Both players drew one card and stood pat from there on in. Altizer opened 
and Bellande mucked. He wished everyone luck and made his exit.

Nam Le called a raise out of the blinds, and discarded two cards on the first draw. His opponent tossed in two cards as well, and Le check-called a bet.

Filippi Out, Van der Fluit Slipping
- Amnon Filippi busted after he was all-in before the first draw round. Both blinds called him so he had the chance to triple up. By the time showdown came around he peeled off a ten but lost out to the small blind that peeled off a seven.
- Vincent van der Fluit's stack is slipping. He lost two pots on the trot to opponents who peeled off a seven. He mucked both times.

A player raised in late position, Bryan Devonshire re-raised from the cutoff, and Arturo Diaz called on the button. The original raiser called as well. All three players drew two cards on the first draw, and they checked as well. On the second draw, the original raiser drew one, and Devonshire and Diaz both drew two. The original raiser bet, Devonshire raised, and Arturo and the third player called.
On the third draw, the original raiser and Diaz drew one, while Devonshire stood pat. All three players checked again, and the original raiser indicated that he had a ninety-seven. Devonshire had a ninety-seven as well, but his 
was best, and he shipped the pot.

Flack's Stack Short, Flack's Spirits High
It takes a lot to get Layne Flack down at the table. He's paid his money and, God dammit, he's going to have fun while he's still in.
He limp-called a raise from Brian Devonshire in the blinds. Both players drew two and both checked afterwards. Flack stood pat and that caused to burst out laughing at Flack's trappy line. Devonshire drew two and then quickly folded when Flack led for 2,000.
The next hand Flack and the big blind played a hand all the way. Flack had been leading the betting until the last betting round when the big blind led out for 2,000. Flack raised and the big blind quickly folded.
"You fold for 2k more?" inquired Flack.
"I fold for a hundred more!" came the reply.
