"Eighty-Seven" Good for Yockey

Von Altizer had a great start but is falling back
Von Altizer had a great start but is falling back

Von Altizer was having a lot more luck at her previous table, but life's not so easy in her new home. She's got the talented Bryce Yockey to her left and that doesn't help.

The went all the way in a heads-up pot and Yockey said, "Eighty-seven". It was good as Altizer could only peel a ten.

Le vs. Keller

Nam Le opened for a raise from under the gun, and the action folded to Thomas Keller, who called on the button. Both player drew two cards, and Le led out. Keller raised, and Le called.

On the second draw, Le requested one card, and Keller patted. Le check-called a bet, and we were off the the last draw.

Le drew one, Keller patted, and both players checked. Le fanned {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for an eighty-seven perfect, and Keller mucked his hand.

Savage Starting Hand for Brubaker

Shawn Buchanan can be beaten and Brian Brubaker just proved it so.

Brubaker two-bet from under the gun and Buchanan was the only caller on the button. Brubaker stood pat straight away and Buchanan discarded two and called a bet from his opponent. His drew one the next round, and one the final round, all while calling bets.

On the final betting round he raised Brubaker's bet only to be three-bet. Buchanan tanked and eventually threw in the calling chips.

Brubaker opened a perfect seventy-six with {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and Buchanan mucked.

Vincent van Goes

When we reached Table 450, the players had already drawn three times, and there was a bet laying in front of Shawn Buchanan. Vincent van der Fluit moved all in for his last few thousand, and Buchanan made the call.

Buchanan fanned {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the absolute nuts, and all van der Fluit could do is laugh.

Geary Gone

Jim Geary was all in and at risk against David Baker moments ago. Baker drew one on the final draw, and Geary stood pat. Geary showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}, and Baker had {8-}{6-}{3-}{2-}. Geary's final card was a {5-}, giving him the best hand, and Geary was eliminated.

Yockey Got Wheels, and is Rolling

Bryce Yockey and Josh Arieh tangled in a heads up pot and the former got the better of the latter.

We caught up with the action after the first draw round and Arieh led into Yockey who called. Arieh then stood pat and Yockey drew one.

Arieh led again and called when Yockey raised. "Wheel," said Yockey and opened {2-}{5-}{3-}{4-}{7-} for the nuts.
