Two For Cassidy

Meng La was first to act, and made it two bets. Joe Cassidy called on the button, and Scotty Nguyen defended his big blind. The dealer fanned {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and Nguyen checked. La continued, Cassidy raised, and both Nguyen and La released.

A few hands later, Cassidy raised out of the small blind, and his neighbor Phil Ivey called. The flop was {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, and Cassidy check-called a bet. The {9-Hearts} turned, and Cassidy checked again. Ivey bet, and this time, Cassidy check-raised. Ivey called.

The {8-Hearts} completed the board, and Cassidy led out for the first time. Ivey called, then mucked when Cassidy tabled {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}.
