Ivey Slipping, Nguyen Climbing

Scotty Nguyen raised under the gun and Phil Ivey defended his big blind. The flop came down {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} and Ivey decided to check-raise. Nguyen made the call and the turn was the {5-Diamonds}. Ivey put out another 50,000 and Nguyen called. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and the same process got repeated.

Nguyen showed {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} and beat Ivey's {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Ivey and Nguyen are now almost even while Cassidy is well ahead.
