Zaichenko Eliminated

Andrey Zaichenko bet his last 200 on the {K-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} flop before 2007 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Tom Schneider raised. The third player in the hand called and the turn brought the {6-Diamonds}. Schneider bet and his opponent called. Before the dealer could even deal the river card, Zaichenko tossed his hand into the muck and walked out of the tournament area. After the {6-Spades} river, Schneider bet again and his opponent called.

Schneider showed the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for kings and sixes with the nut low. His opponent held the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for a better high with aces and sixes and the two chopped up the pot.

Schneider most famously won two WSOP gold bracelets in 2007 that led to his winning of Player of the Year. He won the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8-or-Better event for $214,347 and the $1,000 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8-or-Better for $147,713. He also took fourth in the $2,500 H.O.R.S.E. for $54,769.

Trips for Chidwick

On the {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{J-Clubs} board, Justin Bonomo, Stephen Chidwick and one other player checked before Matt Waxman bet. All three players that checked called and the river completed the board with the {9-Hearts}. Everyone checked.

"I have an eight," said Bonomo, tabling just the {8-Hearts}. Chidwick then showed the {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for trip threes and everyone mucked their cards.

Nick Schulman

A short-stacked Nick Schulman was all in on the turn of a {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board against two opponents.

The {9-Diamonds} hit the river and when the hands were revealed, Schulman tabled {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades} for the second nut low and jack-high straight. One of his opponent's showed {A-}{4-} for the nut low, giving Schulman half the pot to survive.

Gorodinsky Stays Alive with Chop

Level 5 : 300/600, 0 ante

Tom Schneider raised from middle position and Mike Gorodinsky called on the button. Phil Ivey called from the big blind and the three players took a flop of {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Ivey checked, Schneider bet and Gorodinsky raised. Ivey folded and Schneider reraised to put Gorodinsky all in. Gorodinsky called.

Gorodinsky: {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Schneider: {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and river the {K-Clubs}. Gorodinsky had the best low and Gorodinsky had the winning high. The two chopped up the pot and Gorodinsky stayed alive.

Negreanu Eliminated

Daniel Negreanu was down to his last little bit of chips when he called all in for 500 after Vitaly Lunkin raised.

"I wanted ace-ace-deuce-three, but I'll settle for this," Negreanu said as he put in his last chips.

The button and small blind also called and the flop came down {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The small blind and Lunkin both checked before the button bet. Both players called.

The {8-Spades} was checked by all three active players on the turn before the {6-Spades} landed on the river. This is where things got a little wild while all Negreanu could do was look on and await his fate.

The small blind bet, Lunkin raised and then the button reraised. The small blind folded, Lunkin reraised again and then the button called. As this was going on, Negreanu joked, "So what's tomorrow at noon?"

Lunkin showed the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} when all the betting was done and had the top full house. His opponent mucked. Negreanu showed the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} and lost. He was eliminated.

Clements Folds River

Yuval Bronshtein checked the {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and the next player bet. John D'Agostino raised and then Scott Clements reraised. Bronshtein folded and the next player called along with D'Agostino.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and action checked to Clements. He bet and both only the first player called. D'Agostino folded.

The river was the {8-Spades} and paired the board. The first player bet out and Clements gave it some thought. He eventually folded and his opponent won the pot.
