Cassidy Back in There

On a {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} flop we saw Joe Cassidy and his opponent get all their chips into the middle. Cassidy had his opponent just barely covered as around 13,000 chips went into the pot on the flop from both players.

Opponent{A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Cassidy took down the pot with a full house. Cassidy is back up to around 35,000 chips and he has some more room to maneuver.

Monnette Falls To Chow

A short-stacked John Monnette committed his last chips to the pot with {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} against Scotty Nguyen and Michael Chow.

After the turn of an {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts} board, Chow isolated with {Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a flush with the nut low draw. Monnette could only survive if a three fell on the river to give him a better low, but the {7-Clubs} river gave both halves of the pot to Chow.

Ivey Beats Pezzin, Kelly Doing Great

There are lots of swings in this game and Phil Ivey just won another crucial pot giving him 12 big bets again.

We caught the action on the {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop and Pat Pezzin check-called a bet. The turn was the {K-Spades} and Pezzin check-called another bet. The river was the {j-Clubs} and both players checked.

"I got jacks up," Ivey said after which Pezzin confirmed he had that as well.

Ivey turned over {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{7-Spades} for jacks and treys and Pezzin claimed he had jacks and deuces. The Canadian mucked his hand and Ivey was back up to 48,000 chips.

Dan Kelly has the biggest stack at this table with 84,000 while Vanessa Selbst is hurting with only 5,000 chips left behind.

Shannon Shorr on the Rise

We just found Shannon Shorr with a big stack, and right as we checked up on him he managed to rake in a big pot against Humberto Brenes.

With the flop showing {4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{J-Spades} the player to Shorr's right bet 2,000 and he called. Brenes called in position after which Kathy Liebert folded her hand.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the flop agressor checked to Shorr who put out a 4,000 chip bet. Brenes put in a raise to 8,000 and the other player folded. Shorr called and checked the {4-Diamonds} river to Brenes who checked behind.

Shorr showed {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the nut flush and Brenes was frustrated as he mucked his hand.
