The First Pot Goes to Doft

The first hand of the official final table started with a raise from Meng La who was in the under the gun +1 position. From middle position Elie Doft opted to three-bet to 36,000 and the action got folded back to La who made the call.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and La check-called 12,000. The turn was the {4-Clubs} and Doft fired out a 24,000 bet after his opponent had checked. La laid his hand down and Doft took down the pot.

From the hijack Ryan Lenaghan raised, and the four players to his left all called. The flop came down {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Elie Doft, who was in the small blind, lead out. Joe Cassidy called from the big blind, Lenaghan called, Gregory Jamison called and Meng La closed out the action with a call from the button.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Doft fired out another bet after which Cassidy followed with the call. Lenaghan opted to lay it down after which Jamison called. La was last to act and he decided to put in a raise. Doft and Jamison called while Cassidy decided to toss them into the muck.

On the river the {5-Diamonds} showed up and Doft checked. Jamison lead out, La raised, Doft folded and Jamison made the call.

Meng La showed {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for quads while Jamison took down the other half with {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} for the nut low.

We just heard our first big round of applaus after Scotty Nguyen scooped a nice pot on the eight hand of final table play.

Joe Cassidy raised it up from the cutoff after which Scotty Nguyen made it three bets to go from the small blind. Cassidy called.

The flop came down {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Cassidy called Nguyen's bet. On the turn and river the same process got repeated, and Nguyen showed {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for the nut low and a flush. Cassidy mucked his cards and Nguyen scooped this pot.

After just having lost a decent pot against Scotty Nguyen, Joe Cassidy just won some from Ryan Lenaghan.

Cassidy raised under the gun ,and Lenaghan made a three-bet from the cutoff only to be called by the initial raiser. The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Cassidy check-called a bet.

On the turn we saw the {J-Hearts} and both players checked. The river was the {7-Clubs} and Cassidy lead out for 30,000. Lenaghan called and mucked when he got shown {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Cassidy had top two pair and took down this pot.

We just lost the first player at the final table as Ryan Lenaghan couldn't win his first all in at this table. Lenaghan started off the action by raising from middle position and both Gregory Jamison, in the hijack, and Phil Ivey, in the big blind, called.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Ivey checked. Lenaghan put out his final 12,000 chips after which Jamison gave him some protection by raising it up to 27,000. Ivey folded and we got to see a heads up showdown.
