Derden Quadruples Up

Ian Johns raised and Matthew Schreiber three-bet. Preston Derden moved all in for less from the small and Johns called.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Johns checked-folded to a bet from Schreiber. Schreiber then tabled his {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} whcih was behind the {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} of Derden. The {4-Spades} on the turn and the {4-Diamonds} on the river sealed the deal for Derden's win and he was able to roughly quadruple up to 28,000 from that hand.

Thomas Winning Chips

Level 4 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Darin Thomas, Preston Derden and Matt Schreiber each committed a raise preflop to watch as the dealer spread out a {q-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Spades} flop. On the flop, Thomas checked and so too did Derden. Schreiber then flicked out a bet and Thomas called, while Derden got out of the way.

The {10-Diamonds} on the turn would this time see Thomas lead, which made Schreiber think for quite some time. Eventually he opted to let his hand go and send the pot to Thomas.

Brian the Leader

Brian Meinders has edged away as the chip leader here at the final table. We recently watched him, Sean Rice and Matthew Schreiber each commit three extra bets preflop before taking to a {7-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop. Sean checked up front and Meinders then fired out a bet. Both Rice and Schreiber made the call and a {2-Spades} hit the turn. This time when Rice checked and Meinders bet, both Schreiber and Rice would let their hand go and send the pot to Meinders.

Chop It Up

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Brock Parker, Matt Schreiber and Brian Meinders just played what was looking to be the biggest pot of the day. The board ended up being spread out like this {5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades} and a slew of raises were put in throughout the hand. In the end though, Schreiber was out of the way and on the river, Meinders and Parker tabled {j-Clubs}{q-Spades} and {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} respectively, to chop up the pot.

Meinders Likes The River

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Brian Meinders opened with a raise and Matthew Schreiber threw out a three-bet. Action folded back to Meinders who called to see the {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop. Meinders checked to Schreiber who continued out and Meinders called.

The {2-Hearts} came on the turn and Meinders once again check-called a bet. The {A-Spades} completed the board and this time Meinders led out with a bet. Schreiber raised and Meinders called, showing {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. Schreiber mucked his hand and Meidners dragged in the pot.

Battle of Chris

It took Christopher Vitch two hands to go from 40,000 in chips to a very healthy 160,000. The latest hand involving Vitch started when Christopher Hartman opened the pot with a raise. Vitch made the call and a {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop was spread on the felt.

On the flop, Hartman checked and then raised when Vitch fired out a bet. Vitch opted to call and a {3-Clubs} was dealt on the turn. This time Hartman would lead out and Vitch would rasie. Hartman then made it a third bet and after some time deliberating, Vitch made the call.

A {10-Clubs} on the river and Hartman would opt to check. Vitch then fired out a bet and Hartman made the call. When Vitch tabled his {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a flopped set and a rivered full house, it was enough to take down the very handy pot.

Vitch Gets His Chips Back; Doubles Through Ramdin

Christopher Vitch got all of his money in on the turn with the board reading {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Vitch held {A-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for trip aces and was ahead of the flush draw of Victor Ramdin who held {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

The river bricked out for Ramdin, bringing the {3-Spades} and Ramdin was forced to give Vitch back the chips he got from him a few hands earlier.

Meinders Applies Pressure

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Brian Meinders raised before the flop and was called by Preston Derden from the big blind. The flop of {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts} prompted a continuation bet from Meinders and Derden called.

The {7-Hearts} turned and once again Derden check-called a bet from Meinders. The {A-Clubs} rivered and Derden checked for a third time while Meinders bet for a third time. Derden sent his hand to the muck and Meinders grabbed the pot.
