Eskenazi Out; Rheem Doubles Up Pettersson

We caught up with the action of this massive hand on a {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} flop. Scott Eskenazi in the small blind checked and Thomas Pettersson followed suit from the big. Chip leader Chino Rheem fired out a bet of 16,000.

Eskenazi tanked before annocing "pot", moving the rest of his stack in for 70,500. After about ninety seconds of deliberation, Pettersson also announced a pot sized bet, moving his remaining 180,000 into the middle. Rheem, being one to gamble, announced a call and the hands were turned up:

Eskenazi{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Pettersson{A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Rheem{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

Rheem was calling for a club, but instead the dealer brought out the {7-Spades} on the turn. This gave Rheem a few more outs to crack Pettersson's flopped set of aces. Rheem was looking for an eight, a trey, or a club. Instead the {2-Hearts} rivered and Pettersson was able to score a huge double up, thrusting him into the chip lead. Eskenazi hit the rail and Rheem took a big hit, knocking him down to 241,000.
