Set Over Set for Nguyen

On the {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, two players checked and a third player bet 350. Men "The Master" Nguyen raised to 1,200 and action folded back to the original bettor. He reraised all in for 1,650 and Nguyen called.

Nguyen: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Nguyen had flopped middle set, but was behind his opponent's top set. After the turn {7-Diamonds} and river {4-Spades} that paired the board, Nguyen's opponent made a full house and "The Master" was kicked back to 10,300 in chips.

Harder Beats Billirakis

There was approximately 3,200 in the pot already on the {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board between Christian Harder and Steve Billirakis. Harder was first up and checked. Billirakis fired 1,700 and Harder called.

The river card completed the board with the {7-Clubs} and both players checked.

Harder showed the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades} for aces and deuces with a king kicker. Billirakis took a moment to think before mucking his hand and allowing Harder to get pushed the pot.

Over 550 Players Now

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

The tournament clock has just rolled over into Level 4 and this will be the last level before registration closes. Registration will be open through the next break, which will last 30 minutes following this level, and then close at the start of Level 5. Also at the end of this break, each player will automatically be awarded another 3,000 in tournament chips for each add-on lammer they have left.

The board reads that over 550 players have entered the event, but that's still more than 100 short of last year's 685-player field. We'll keep you posted on the numbers and will also release the prize pool plus payout information when it becomes available.

Richey Gets It In Good and Holds

With over 4,000 already in the pot going to the flop, the dealer spread the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Brett Richey was faced with a bet of 2,000 from his opponent and raised all in for 4,325. His opponent called and tabled the {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Richey held the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and river the {2-Spades}. Richey's hand held up and he moved to 18,900 in chips.

Richey has a few Omaha cashes on his tournament record. The largest came from a second-place finish in the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Low event at the 2009 World Series of Poker for over $150,000.
