Phan Gets In One Last Joke Before He Exiting in 25th Place

Young Phan
Young Phan

Razz:

We caught the action on the turn when Cliff Josephy put out a bet and a extremely short-stacked Young Phan called off. Robby Rasmussen came along for the ride and actually took the lead on fifth, which he bet. Josephy thought for a few moments before releasing his hand and the cards were turned up.

Rasmussen : {3-}{8-} / {4-}{J-}{9-}{Q-} / {2-}
Phan: {A-}{3-} / {8-}{8-}{10-}{3-} / {Q-}
Josephy: (x-x) / {4-}{10-}{10-} fold

Unfortunately for Phan he double paired on sixth and was left drawing dead when Rasmussen improved on seventh. Nonetheless, the good-spirited Phan loudly exclaimed, "Yes, I made a flush," when his {Q-Clubs} on seventh gave him five clubs.

Everyone at the table got a good laugh and proceeded to shake Phan's hand. "Always a pleasure to play with you," one player remarked.

With Phan's elimination in 25th place, the remaining 24 players are now redrawing down to the final three tables.
