Cody Clips Pillai's Stack

Shankar Pillai was first-to-act and opened to 1,700. He was called by Jake Cody in the small blind and the player in the big blind.

The flop came {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Cody led out for 2,500. The player in the big folded, however, Pillai made the call.

The turn brought a {6-Spades} and, not slowing down, Cody fired again - this time for 5,700. Pillai again called.

The {J-Clubs} completed the board and Cody fired a third barrel for 11,400. Pillai thought it over and decided to fold. Cody mucked without showing.

Cody is up to 85,000 while Pillai has slipped to a still-commanding 130,000.
