Day 2 Ends With DeTienne On Top
Day two has just finished and the hopefuls will return tomorrow where a winner will be crowned. Kevin DeTienne came out as today’s chip leader, bagging 1,325,000. With 462 players returning for the day only 33 came out the other side. The money bubble was burst early during the first level of the day and the rest of the day saw a consistent flow of people being eliminated.
Dennis Phillips had his ups and downs of the day, but finished with a healthy stack of 576,000. Another player who was quite impressive was Allyn Jaffrey Shulman making a great run late in the day. Shulman not only is one of the few remaining females in the field she is one of the larger stacks in play, thanks to this hand.
Radwan Khuri came into the day with the chip lead and never looked back. Crossing the 500,000 mark late here on day two, Khuri managed to hit it big early and hold on to his chips for the entirety of the day and finished with 686,000 for second in chips.
Marcel Luske had a yo-yo of a day that ended with him making his exit late. Humberto Brenes, Hal Lubarsky, and Toto Leonidas all left early also.
Tomorrow all players will come back at 11:00 PM and will play down until there is one player left. That one player will walk away with $603,713 and a gold World Series of Poker bracelet. Stay tuned to PokerNews for all the up to date details.
