Jacks and Tens

Ted Forrest three-bet to 2,300 from mid position after Brian Devonshire opened to 775 from early position. Devonshire called and drew one as Forrest stood pat. Both players checked and Forrest announced and opened {10-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}. It was good as Devonshire mucked.

One table over and one minute later, Greg Mueller was in a tricky spot. He raised from the button and called when the big blind shoved for another 6,275. The big blind stood pat and Mueller didn't know what to do.

"I have jack, ten, nine, eight; how bad is my situation?" asked Mueller.

"Do I draw one or two?" he continued.

Eventually he stood pat and opened {j-}{10-}{9-}{8-}{6-} and lost out to {j-}{10-}{6-}{4-}{2-}.

"God, I knew it was close!" commented Mueller.

Two players at the same said they would've stood pat too.
