Su Brings us Down to 50

We are down to 50 players and just two spots off the money after Stephen Su just knocked a short stack out.

Stud

Stephen Su{X-}{X-} / {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{x-}
Opponent{x-}{x-} / {9-Spades}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{x-}

We saw that Su called a bet, or raise, from his opponent on fifth street after which the rest of the chips went in on sixth.

Su turned over {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and was looking to catch another heart in order to make a flush. His opponent had {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} and was ahead. Su's opponent killed one of his outs when he hit the {K-Hearts}, but the {6-Hearts} was still in the deck. Su made his flush and knocked the player out in 51st place.

McClung Gets Lucky

No Limit Hold'em

We just saw Chris McClung put a beat on one of his opponents, who walked out the door steaming as he just missed out on a min cash.

McClung raised to 2,600 after which his opponent moved all in for 23,300 total. The action got folded back to McClung who tanked for quite some time before making the call.

Chris McClung{K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Opponent{A-Spades}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{A-Hearts} giving McClung a straight, and the win. McClung stacked his new chips in silence as we inch closer and close towards the money.

Bjorin Cripples Lisandro

Jeffrey Lisandro
Jeffrey Lisandro

Stud Hi/Lo:

We caught the action on fifth street when Chris Bjorin paired his threes and bet 5,000, which 2009 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Jeff Lisandro called. The latter took the led on sixth and put out a bet of his own, Bjorin called, and then both men checked seventh.

Bjorin: {3-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Clubs} / {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Lisandro: {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} / {4-Hearts}{%h}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} / (x)

Lisandro wasn't in a hurry to show, so Bjorin revealed trip threes. Lisandro shook his head slightly and showed two of his down cards before sending his whole hand to the muck.
