Su Crippled by the Pi Master

Omaha Hi/Lo:

We caught the action on the {3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop when both Stephen Su and Chris "PiMaster" Viox checked to Greg Mueller, who put out a bet. Su proceeded to check-raise, Viox did the same, and Muller got out of the way.

Su then check-called bets on both the {8-Hearts} turn and {9-Hearts} river and tabled {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for an ace-high flush. Much to his dismay, Viox revealed {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a full house and the win.

Blomlie Keeps Fighting

Stud

Mikal Blomlie was getting awfully short, but he just managed to pick up some chips in Stud.

Chris Viox{x-}{x-} / {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}
Mikal Blomlie{x-}{x-} / {10-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Stephen Su brought it in with the {4-Diamonds} on the last hand of Seven Card Stud and Chris Viox opted to complete to 12,000. Greg Mueller folded after which Blomlie raised to 24,000. Su folded and Viox called.

Viox called a bet on fourth street, but when Blomlie fired again on fifth street he had to give it up.

Scott Seiver Eliminated in 15th Place ($9,603)

Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver

2-7 Triple Draw:

Action folded to Kevin Calenzo in the cutoff and he put in a raise, which saw Scott Seiver call off for 19,500 from the small blind before drawing one card, which he would do on every street. Calenzo, on the other hand, drew two on the first draw and then stood pat on the next two.

Seiver just shook his head, which was Calenzo's cue to roll over {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Seiver sent his cards to the muck and made his way to the payout desk in 15th place.

Puchkov Hits Hawrilenko Hard

2-7 Triple Draw

Konstantin Puchkov started the hand off by raising to 20,000 from the cutoff, and Matt Hawrilenko three-bet to 30,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and Puchkov made the call.

Puchkov took two cards, Hawrilenko needed one.

Puchkov check-called a 10,000 chip bet.

On the second draw Puchkov took one card and Hawrilenko stood pat. Puchkov checked to Hawrilenko who bet 20,000, and after double checking his cards Puchkov put out a raise to 40,000. Hawrilenko paused, and called.

On the third and last draw both players stood pat. Puchkov bet 20,000 and Hawrilenko called. Puchkov showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and Hawrilenko mucked his cards. Puchkov started the day very short, but he's doing very well with just 15 players left. Hawrilenko started the day off good, but finds himself towards the bottom of the counts right now.

Jennifer Harman Eliminated in 16th Place ($9,603)

Jennifer Harman
Jennifer Harman

Stud Hi/Lo:

Donnacha O'Dea completed with the {8-Spades} and was called by Jennifer Harman, who was showing the {6-Diamonds}. Rep Porter then opted to raise with the {A-Hearts}, and both his opponents called. Porter kept the lead on the turn and bet again, but slowed down with a check on fifth after both Harman and O'Dea had called. That opened the door for the latter to put out a bet, and Harman called off for 7,000.

Porter came along for the ride and even called a bet from O'Dea on sixth, but folded when the Irishman bet seventh. Harman didn't even wait to see O'Dea's full house before she swooped up her cards and sent them to the muck.

O'Dea: {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades} / {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Harman: (x-x) / {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} / (x)
Porter: (x-x) / {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades} / (x)

Harman took her leave in 16th place and will take home $9,603 for her efforts.

The Final 16

Calvin Anderson Eliminated in 17th Place ($7,900)

Calvin Anderson
Calvin Anderson

Pot Limit Omaha:

Action folded around to a short-stacked Calvin Anderson on the button and he raised to 16,500. Rep Porter was in the big blind and just called, which inspired Anderson to bet his last 18,000 in the dark and out of turn.

"Betting dark?" Porter asked.

"If you want to check," Anderson said referencing the fact that if his opponent checked he was obligated to commit the bet. Porter did check the {5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop and immediately called Anderson's bet.

Porter: {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Anderson: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

Anderson was drawing slim, but the was left drawing dead when the turn gave Porter a full house.
