David Pham Eliminated in 5th Place ($140,736)

David Pham - 5th Place
David Pham - 5th Place

One of the first hands back from the dinner break and we have already had an elimination. It all started when Bahman Jahanguiri opened it up to 150,000. David Pham then three-bet shoved and Jahanguiri instantly called.

Jahanguiri: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Pham: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Pham was in desperate need of some help on the board, but when the dealer spread {10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} along the felt, it was all over in fifth place for Pham.

For that effort, Pham adds $140,736 in prize money to his poker resume that already includes more than $8 million in tournament winnings.

Back From Dinner

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

The players are back from the dinner break and ready to play some more poker. Dung Nguyen still hold more than half the chips in play.

Level: 28

Blinds: 30,000/60,000

Ante: 10,000

Dinner is Here

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

After a action packed start to the final table, things have slowed down during the last level or so. Maybe after dinner they will pick up the pace, but for now it's a 60-minute break.

Hinkle and Tran

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Theo Tran was under the gun when he opened the pot to 105,000. Blair Hinkle was on Tran's direct left and three-bet to 220,000. Tran thought hard before eventually deciding to make the call.

The {7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop would see Tran check and then watch on as Hinkle bet 205,000. Tran again thought for a long time. Time rolled on until Tran decided to let his hand go and send the pot to Hinkle.

Pham Wins Small One

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Dung Nguyen opened up the action to 110,000 from the button. David Pham called in the big blind and a {9-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{a-Spades} flop was dealt. Both players checked here and the {8-Hearts} hit the turn. Both players again opted to check and it was on to the {10-Hearts} river.

This time Pham would bet 110,000 and Nguyen fold as Pham raked in the small pot.

Tran Getting Involved

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Folded to Theo Tran in the cutoff, he opened the pot to 105,000. Blair Hinkle then three-bet to 220,000 and it was back on Tran.

It didn't take Tran long to four-bet shove his stack here, which prompted Hinkle to fold just as quickly.

Hinkle gives Dung Some Chips

Blair Hinkle was under the gun when he raised it up to 100,000. Folded to Dung Nguyen in the small blind, he three-bet to 310,000. Hinkle opted to make the call and the dealer prepared three cards from the deck.

Flop: {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{a-Hearts}

Nguyen fired away with a bet of 400,000 on the flop and after much deliberation, Hinkle decided to get away from this hand and move onto the next one.
