Mercier Flops Flush, Adds to Stack

Anton Ionel limped in from early position, and Andy Seth and Jason Mercier limped in behind him. Timothy Flanders completed from the small blind, and Keith Lehr checked his option in the big.

The flop came down {7-Spades}{q-Spades}{9-Spades}, and all five players checked. The turn was the {k-Clubs}, and Flanders led out for 6,000. Ionel and Mercier called. The river was the {5-Hearts}, and Flanders led again - this time for 16,000. Ionel quickly folded, and Mercier tank-called.

We only caught three of Flanders' cards ({a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{x-}), while Mercier tabled {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} for a flush.

He raked in the pot, increasing his stack to about 350,000 chips.
