Farha Busts Lacay

Sammy Farha is in the building, again, but only for the second tournament PokerNews has seen him play this World Series of Poker.

On this hand, Farha was up against Ludovic Lacay on the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{5-Clubs}{K-Clubs} board and Lacay had checked. Farha bet 8,400 and Lacay tanked for a long time before finally making the call and leaving himself with less than 2,000 behind.

The river was the {7-Hearts} and Lacay checked. Farha bet 2,000 to put Lacay all in and he made the call.

Farha tabled the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for two pair, king and queens, and Lacay mucked his hand. He hit the rail while Farha hit 60,000 in chips.

Farha is widely considered as one of the best Omaha players in the world. His three WSOP gold bracelets all come from the game, with one in Pot-Limit Omaha and two in Omaha Hi-Low. Farha won his third bracelet in 2010 in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Low Championship for $488,241. In 2006 he won his second bracelet and $398,560 in the $5,000 Omaha Hi-Low event and his first came in 1996 when he won the $2,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event for $145,000.

Value-Betting Bottom Two

A player limped in early position, another raised to 1,100 from the cutoff, and Chino Rheem called on the button. The limper called as well, and the flop fell {2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Spades}. The action checked to Rheem, who tossed out 1,650, and both players called.

All three players checked after the {j-Clubs} turned, and the {4-Diamonds} completed the board. The action checked to Rheem again, and he fired 3,000. The limper released, and the original raiser called.

"Two pair," Rheem announced, tabling {4-Spades}{2-Spades} followed by {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

The caller mucked, and Rheem raked in the pot.

Farha Takes a Hit

As we mentioned earlier, Sammy Farha is in the house. After quickly doubling however, he's sunk back down to 40,000 chips.

Farha, Rami Boukai, and a third player saw a flop of {5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Farha, who was in the blinds, checked to Boukai who fired 2,500, and only Farha called. The turn was another five - the {5-Spades} - and both players checked. The river was the {2-Clubs}, and Farha led out for 5,000. Boukai quickly called.

"Flush," Farha announced.

Boukai tabled {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a full house however, and Farha mucked his hand.
