Vas Nunes Running Away With Chip Lead

Paul Vas Nunes opened to 105,000 from the hijack position and directly behind him, Morten Mortensen three-bet to 275,000 from the cutoff. Nunes flatted to see a flop, which came {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}.

Vas Nunes checked and Mortensen fired 225,000 into the middle. Mortensen called.

The turn fell the {4-Hearts} and both players checked.

When the {J-Diamonds} completed the board, Vas Nunes checked once more, prompting a hefty 475,000 bet from Mortensen. Vas Nunes called and Mortensen tabled {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} for just ace-high. Vas Nunes tabled {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} for a rivered pair of jacks and scooped the pot.

Vas Nunes is now up to 6.25 million while Mortensen is down to 850,000.
