It's Day 1 of Event 43, $1,500 No Limit Hold'em, of the World Series of Poker and another blockbuster turnout is expected for this event. Some 2,000 entrants have already registered and will fill all of the Brasilia Room, the White and Black Sections of the Pavilion and the Orange and Tan Sections of the Amazon Room.

Last year this event attracted 2,192 entrants and created a near $3 million prize pool. Las Vegas resident Arkadiy Tsinis walked away with the gold bracelet and $540,136.

Jacob Toole, Jon Spinks, Sebastian Ruthenberg, Matt Waxman, Sam Trickett, Ryan Eriquezzo, La Sengphet, Bernard Lee and Matthew Woodward all cashed in the top 100 finishers.

The field will play a full schedule of 11 levels today with the possibility of making the money by the end of play. Stay tuned to follow all of the WSOP action live on PokerNews.com
