We told you about David "Doc" Sands' elimination a little while ago. Well the player that called the clock after 20 seconds was just eliminated.
We've never seen a table happier to see a player go. The remaining players all fist bumped each other and the player that knocked him out got a special congratulations.
There are just two tables remaining in the Bronze Section of the Brasilia Room. Once those tables are broken only Silver and Gold will remain.
From there, as players are eliminated each table will go from ten-handed to nine-handed. Once all tables are at nine then they will break from there. But more than likely some tables will end the evening ten-handed.
We missed the action but we caught the result. Pius Heinz had in front of him and a board. Heinz was counting down his stack - 36,800 - to earn a full double up.
After the under-the-gun player opened to 1,600, the next player to act three-bet to 3,400. Huy Nguyen called from middle position, the original raiser called, and the flop fell .
The UTG player checked it to the three-bettor who bet 4,400. Only Nguyen called to see the turn. Both checked and did the same when the river fell.
Nguyen tabled , besting his opponent's hand to win the pot.
Just before end of Level 10, Tom Marchese went all in for about 6,200 from middle position. Erik Cajelais three-bet to 12,000 on the button to isolate, but Andres Sanchez in the big blind four-bet all in for 53,600 after about 90 seconds in the tank. Cajelais called and we had about a 115,000-chip pot on our hands.
Marchese:
Cajelais:
Sanchez:
Sanchez took it down when the board ran out , ending Marchese's tournament and leaving Cajelais very short on chips.
