Riester Out, Karschamroon Rising

On one of the first hands after players returned from the last break of the night, Tarek Riester was all in before the flop with {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and up against the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} of the chip leader Patrick Karschamroon. The board came {5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}, and we're down to 28 players.

Petersen Crippled; Then Eliminated

Mickey Petersen
Mickey Petersen

We missed the exact action, but Mickey Petersen ended up getting nearly all in against Jaspal Brar, who he had covered by just 2,000.

Brar: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}
Petersen: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Brar doubled up to 285,000.

The very next hand, Petersen was all in for his last 2,000 and ended up being eliminated when his {4-}{5-} failed to improve against Blair Hinkle's {A-}{8-}.

Roupp Stopped

Timothy Roupp was just now all in with {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and found himself up against two other opponents. Adam Latimer was also all in with {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}, while Miltiadis Kyriakides had both covered and had tabled {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

Latimer was calling for black cards, and his request was granted, although the {5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} board meant he and Kyriakides were chopping while Roupp hit the rail in 34th place.

Hinkle Surges Back Among Chip Leaders

We missed the action, but apparently Blair Hinkle got into a preflop raising war with another opponent. Hinkle had three-bet shoved all in with pocket queens and his opponent called all in with pocket eights. Hinkle's queens held up and he knocked his opponent out and scooped the massive pot.

Hinkle up to 600,000.

Karschamroon Knocks Out Rivera

Alex Rivera was just all in for his tourney life with {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and had run into the {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} of Patrick Karschamroon. The board came {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, and Rivera was eliminated in 37th. We're down to four nine-handed tables.
