With tables now filled almost all players are playing are nine-handed and the rattling of chips is the only noise that can be truly deciphered. Play for Event 46 has been extended to the Pavilion room and after a recent walk-through here is what we have noticed.
The Pavilion room consists of plenty of players, a few you might recognize are Chino Rheem, Humberto Brenes, Jeff Madsen, Brent Hanks, and Jason Lester.
Lester boasts over $2,253,059 in live casino winnings and just made his first 2012 World Series of Poker cash a few days ago in Event 38: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em. Unfortionately a 19th place finished prevented him from WSOP gold. A good run today though could put himself in position to make another deep run.
Another player in the field is Jennifer Tilly. The Academy Award nominee is currently sharing elbow space and a few laughs with Matt Stout. Jeff Madsen and Tim West both are at the same table, as are Andre Akkari and Erika Moutinho.
Moutinho managed to be getting involved in a growing pot as we walked by, and this is what we saw. The board read and a player in late position fired out 400 after a handful of players in front of him knuckled the felt. Moutinho in the cut-off made the call and the rest of the table folded.
The on the turn prompted a check from the late position player and a bet of 650 from Moutinho. A call was made and both players were witness to the on the river. Another check from Moutinho's opponent allowed for a bet of 1,100 to be placed by Moutinho. The late position player min-raised and Moutinho completed the call.
Cards were tabled and the late position player flipped over , and Moutinho countered with for a full house threes over nines. With that hand Moutinho surpasses the 10,000 mark and sits with around 11,000.
