A Bronze Section Brimming With Brilliance

Pius Heinz - the WSOP ME Champion is in the house
Pius Heinz - the WSOP ME Champion is in the house

The Bronze Section is brimming with quality including our reigning World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champion Pius Heinz. Heinz has had a very quiet 2012 since winning his whopping $8,715,368 first prize with just one cash in January, but he is performing well thus far with 12,600 chips after raking in a decent sized pot against the Romanian Mihai Manole.

There are also some cracking tables such as Table #62 housing the likes of the young British hotshot, Mathew Frankland, former November Niner Joseph Cheong and one of the most famous faces in poker Liv Boeree. Of the three players it is Frankland who has started the better and he told us about a recent flush over flush hand versus Claudio Cecchi where he was hoping for a little bit more than the 2,950 that he actually got out of his three streets of value. The heart flush hit on the turn with Frankland holding {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} in position and Cecchi holding {9-Hearts} {4-Hearts} in the big blind.

One of our latest WSOP champions, Craig McCorkell, also has a tough table. He is accompanied by the German online and live star Michael Eiler, Aaron 'aejones' Jones and Chris McClung and how about Table #60, which contains the likes of Leo Margets, and WSOP bracelet holders Jason DeWitt and Scott Montgomery.

Last but not least we have a European rap star and a WSOP veteran in the house. Bruno 'Kool Shen' Lopes is seated at Table 49 with 11,700 chips and some recent form. Kool Shen has won nearly $500,000 in the year 2012. Then you have Tom 'The Shamrock Kid' McCormick who has over $500,000 in WSOP earnings and forty WSOP cashes. The Shamrock Kid currently leads the way with 22,000 chips.
