James Hong raised to 4,500 from early position only to have Warren Oberman three-bet the size of the pot. The rest of the field got out of the way, Hong made the call, and it was heads-up action to the flop.
Hong was first to act and asked for a count of Oberman's stack, but ultimately decided to check. Oberman instantly slide in his stack and Hong shook his head and folded. Oberman then revealed , leading the rest of the table to speculate that the unseen card must have been a club.
It appeared Jonathan Hart got his stack all in preflop with and was up against the of Viatcheslav Ortynskiy. The flop was gin for Hart as it gave him a Broadway straight, but it also gave Ortynskiy top set.
The turn gave Ortynskiy some added outs to a low, but it was the river that gave him quads and the win. "Wow, beat by quads," Hart said before taking his leave in 93rd place.
Niall Fitzgerald just grabbed a big pot off of Chip Jett. When we arrived the five community cards had been dealt and the board was showing . Fitzgerald held , and Jett , and Jett was congratulating his opponent on a good hand as the chips were heading the Irishman's way.
Andy Frankenberger began today fourth in chips, but things didn't go his way here on Day 2. Frankenberger, who currently sits in third place on the 2012 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Leaderboard, lots a lot of chips early and recently met an untimely end.
It happened when he got his remaining chips all in with on a flop of only to run into the of Marc Durand. The turn left Frankenberger drawing dead, and he was up out of his seat and exiting even before the dealer put out the on the river.
