Conway Turns Ace to Bust Wessman

We caught up just as Anders Wessman was getting all in for his last 250,000 against Thomas Conway - who just barely had Wessman covered.

Conway: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Wessman: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

"Good luck," Conway wished Wessman.

The {3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} kept Wessman in front, however, it would be Conway who got lucky when a {A-Spades} landed on the turn and paired Conway's ace. An inconsequential {J-Spades} completed the board and Wessman was eliminated.

Conway is up to 500,000.

Raskin Can Dodge Bullets, Baby

Micah Raskin was all in preflop for 153,000 with {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and up against the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} of Amir Lehavot. The {3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop gave Raskin a little help, but he'd need more if he were to survive.

The {Q-Diamonds} turn gave him some added straight outs, but it'd be the {10-Diamonds} river that would deliver him salvation and extend his tournament life. Meanwhile, Lehavot's cracked aces dropped him to 270,000.

Aude Eliminates Wexler

We caught up with the action preflop, where Wexler had an 182,000 bet in front of him in the big blind and action was back on Erik Aude in the small blind. Aude called and appeared to think he would be all in.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and both players seemed to agree to get the rest of their chips into the middle. Aude had Wexler covered.

Aude: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for a flush and straight draw.
Wexler: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for middle pair.

The {5-Spades} turn was inconsequential, however, the {6-Diamonds} river left Aude with a flush and Wexler was sent to the rail.

Aude is up to 615,000.

Lee Wins Race To Eliminate Buddiga

We caught up with the action just as Pratyush Buddiga was getting all in preflop against Ronald Lee.

Lee: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Buddiga: {Q-}{Q-}

Buddiga had a very slight advantage going to the flop, however, the {9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} board left Lee with a pair of kings and eliminated Buddiga from the tournament.

Lee is up to 600,000 and is looking for his biggest cash since placing third in the 2010 WSOPE Championship No-Limit Hold'em.

Russia vs. Australia

Brendon Rubie raised to 21,000 from under the gun plus one and cleared the field all the way around to Joseph Cheong, who made the call from the small blind. Alexander Kravchenko then moved all in from the big blind for 280,000, Rubie moved all in over the top, and Cheong got out of the way.

Showdown
Kravchenko: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Rubie: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The young Australian was ahead when the chips went in, but the {K-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop paired the Russian and gave him the lead. The {A-Diamonds} turn gave Kravchenko two pair, while the {A-Hearts} river made it a boat.
