Level 7 : 75/150, 25 ante

For the first seven levels of the day, play has been spread out across the Brasilia room, the Amazon room, and the Pavilion. Now that we have lost over 2,000 players the field has been condensed to just the Brasilia room.

Leggo My Eggo

If you're at all familiar with Aaron 'aejones' Jones, then you know he has his own poker training site, Leggopoker.com

Jones was just recently moved to a table with Chris Moorman and is seated just two spots to his left. When Jones sat down he had a relatively short stack, but he just doubled up and thanks to that, he's now at 18,500.

We got to the table with the board reading {8-}{j-}{8-}. Jones and his opponent managed to get all the money in the middle. Jones held {K-}{J-} and his opponent was drawing to just a {Q-} with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {4-} on the turn and {j-} on the river to give Jones the winning boat and the double up.

"I had both of you dominated," said a table mate who claimed to fold {A-}{K-}. Unlucky for Jones who may have tripled up if he called.

Benyamine Runs Into Flush

A middle position player opened with a raise to 875 and received a call from David Benyamine in the cutoff. The blinds got out of the way and the dealer tapped the table and produced a flop of {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Both players checked and did the same on the turn of {8-Diamonds}. The board was completed with the {6-Clubs} Benyamine's opponent bet 1,975. Benyamine quickly called and his opponent showed {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a rivered flush.

Benyamine flung his hand away and seemed ready to get on with the next hand as his opponent stacked his chips.

Ali Eslami Busts Jeff Lisandro; Moves Into Chip Lead

We recently saw Ali Eslami scooping up a big pot that may have put him in the chip leader position. We went over to his table after the hand and asked him what happened.

According to Eslami, he opened the pot under the gun for 875 with the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}. Jeff Lisandro made it 3,500, and had more than 20,000 in chips.

Eslami called and the two players headed to the flop which fell {K-}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. On the flop, Eslami told us that he check-called a 3,800 chip bet from Lisandro.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, and Eslami told us that he chose to lead the turn with a 7,000 chip bet. From there, Lisandro shoved all in, and Eslami snapped him off. Lisandro was holding {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a pair and a flush draw.

"I guess he just decided to go after me with the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}," Eslami said.

The river was the {4-Spades}, and when we got to the table, Eslami was scooping up the monster pot.
