Stocker on a Tear

Thijmen Stocker
Thijmen Stocker

Thijmen Stocker just jumped up to third place on the leader board after knocking out Alexander Nudin, and hurting Sam Chartier. The Dutchman already has a cash at this year's World Series of Poker when he finished 11th in the $1,500 Six-Handed event, and he's looking to add another.

First Stocker won a serious pot off Chartier, who saw his bluff fail. Stocker told us how he raised from middle position, and Chartier defended his big blind. The flop came down {9-}{6-}{3-} with two spades and Chartier checked. Stocker bet 8,000 and Chartier raised it up to 18,000. Stocker called.

On the turn the {A-Hearts} hit, and Chartier bet 25,000. Stocker called, and the river was the {10-Diamonds}. Chartier took another stab and bet 52,000, but Stocker wasn't folding. Chartier mucked, and Stocker showed his {5-Spades}{6-Spades}.

On the next hand Stocker raised under the gun, and the action was folded to Nudin who three-bet to 16,000 from the big blind. Stocker moved all in, and Nudin made the call for around 88,000 total.

Alexander Nudin{A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Thijmen Stocker{K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, and Nudin was eliminated. Stocker is now one of the chip leaders.
