Merson Takes Big Lead

Keith Lehr raised to 200,000 from the button, and Gregory Merson called from the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Merson check-called 225,000. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Merson check-called 525,000.

On the river the {7-Hearts} hit, and Merson lead out for 2,000,000. Lehr tanked for a while, but eventually he called. Merson showed {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a rivered straight, and Lehr mucked.

Lehr claimed that Merson could've gotten it all, indicating he had a very strong hand as well. Lehr is now down to 25 big blinds.
