Shak Loses a Bunch of Chips

Dan Shak has just lost a large portion of his chips during a hand that went down like this. A player in middle position opened the action with a raise to 400. Shak was in late position and he made the call, along with the player on the button.

On the {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, the middle position player continued his betting, firing out 1,300. Shak made the call, while the button player got out of the way. The {k-Spades} on the turn would see Shak's opponent shove for 1,200 and Shak would make the call.

Shak: {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

Shak had plenty of draws, but his opponent had the better draw on both sides of the pot, managing to scoop with the flush for the high end of the pot and a sixty-five low for the other half of the pot.
