Level 41 : 800,000/1,600,000, 200,000 ante

Greg Merson started the hand with the button, and he opened to 3.2 million. Jesse Sylvia called in the small blind, Jake Balsiger defended his big blind, and all three players saw a flop of {8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. All three players checked.

The turn was the {q-Clubs}, Sylvia led out for 5.2 million, Balsiger called, and Merson folded.

The {k-Diamonds} completed the board, Sylvia led again - this time for 9.2 million - and Balsiger tanked for the better part of five minutes before calling.

Hand #356: Sylvia Doubles Through Balsiger

Level 41 : 800,000/1,600,000, 200,000 ante
Jesse Sylvia doubles up again
Jesse Sylvia doubles up again

Jake Balsiger was on the button. He limped in, and Jesse Sylvia checked his option in the big blind. Greg Merson folded from the small blind.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, and Sylvia checked to Balsiger. Balsiger bet 2.2 million, and Sylvia check-raised to 7.6 million. Balsiger moved all in, and Sylvia made the call to put himself at risk. Sylvia turned over the {8-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for a flopped two pair, and Balsiger held the {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for top pair.

The turn was {2-Hearts}, and Sylvia improved to a full house. Balsiger could still hit a king on the river to win the hand, but the {3-Hearts} landed on the river, and Sylvia doubled up.

Sylvia was all in on the flop for 32.3 million in chips.
